General
No. Flow does not require a subscription. You purchase Flow once and can use the core product without ongoing fees.
We also offer Flow+, an optional subscription that grants access to premium features in our iOS app, including our full library of alarm sounds and the ability to capture snoring, sleep talking, and coughing sounds while you sleep.
Most alarm apps rely on sound to wake you up. The problem is, you can turn off sound without being awake. Flow adds a physical step - you have to get out of bed and scan your Flow Dock to stop the alarm. It's the difference between hoping you'll get up and making sure you do.
Honestly, anyone who's sick of losing the fight with their alarm every morning. Heavy sleepers, serial snoozers, people with 6 backup alarms on their phone, nurses pulling early shifts, students who keep missing 8ams. If your current alarm isn't getting the job done, that's who this is for.
Yes. Flow is available for iPhone and Android. Download Flow on the App Store or get it on Google Play.
No. That's literally why Flow exists. Your alarm goes off, and the only way to make it stop is to get up, walk to your Flow Dock, and scan it. By the time you do that, you're standing in your bathroom and your day has started.
Yes — the Dock handles moisture and steam really well. For most bathrooms, like on a counter while you shower, it'll be totally fine. Just avoid placing it directly in the shower or in an enclosed space where steam is really heavy and constant.
No adhesive — the Dock is magnetic. Stick it to any metal surface and move it whenever you want. No residue, no wear, no replacements.
No. The Flow Dock does not need batteries or charging. It uses NFC, so your iPhone powers it only when you scan it. There is nothing to plug in, recharge, or replace.
Setting Up Flow
Stick the Dock somewhere away from your bed. Bathroom counter, kitchen, hallway wall — wherever makes sense. Open the app, set your alarm time, and that's it.
No. Set your alarm once and it repeats on its own. The Dock stays wherever you put it. You only touch the app again if you want to change your wake-up time.
Take it with you. The tag is tiny - fits right in your pocket. Works the same anywhere.
Your alarm sounds and a countdown starts. The only way to stop it is to get to your Flow Dock and scan it with your phone. Until you do, it keeps going. No snooze loops. No easy way out.
You can allow yourself one snooze, or turn snooze off entirely. But either way, you still have to scan the Dock to fully kill the alarm. There's no hitting snooze 11 times.
No. The Dock itself has no battery - it's powered by your phone's NFC chip when you scan it. The app uses about as much battery overnight as your regular alarm.
If you're on iOS 26 or later, yes - the alarm cuts through silent mode and Do Not Disturb, same as your regular iPhone alarm. On older iOS versions, Flow uses notifications to wake you up, so you'll need to keep your ringer on for the alarm to sound.
